BES SPRING MEETING, Rome, 5 May 2018

The BES Spring Meeting 2018 will take place in the eternal city – Rome! – on 5 May 2018. The meeting is organised by BES member Prof. Silvia Orlandi (La Sapienza, Rome) and will take place in the Museo Nazionale Romano (Terme di Diocleziano). In addition to papers and poster presentations, there will a guided tour for all participants on 5 May of the epigraphic collection in the Museo Nazionale Romano, by Dr Carlotta Caruso, as well as a presentation of the mobile app enabling the visual recognition of the inscriptions displayed in the museum, by Dr Giuseppe Amato. The meeting is preceded by a public lecture on the evening of 4 May by Prof. Filippo Coarelli on ‘Roman Topography and Military Diplomas’ (in Palazzo Altemps).

The Society is very grateful to the Museo Nazionale Romano, and its Director, Dr Daniela Porro, for generously supporting the meeting through hosting it on their premises.
